ALL ABOUT NSL
Name
The name of the organization is NOLA Softball NSL, Inc., hereinafter referred to as NSL, a non-profit organization.
Mission Statement
The mission of NSL is to foster a positive environment for recreation and socializing
through amateur slow-pitch softball, while supporting NSL sponsors and our community’s
charitable organizations. NSL membership is open to all individuals, without prejudice.
NOLA Softball League plays by ASA (Amateur Softball Association) rules and regulations.

The NSL is also a member in good standing of NAGAAA. NAGAAA serves as the national
governing body for its member cities, which now includes over three-dozen alliance
members throughout North America. Various member cities sponsor national invitational
softball tournaments throughout the year. NAGAAA also sponsors the annual Gay Softball
World Series in late summer/early fall that is hosted by a different member city each year.
Membership
Membership is open to all individuals who:
- Are eighteen (18) years of age on or before the first day of the current Spring
season. Upon request, proof of age shall be furnished to the Board of Directors.
- Have paid all required annual dues and submitted required documents to the
Board.
- Live within 225 miles of New Orleans.
Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees will manage the affairs and funds of NSL. The NSL Board of Trustees serves without compensation.
The Board of Trustees shall consist of seven (7) members who shall be elected by and
from the NSL membership. Each Trustee shall hold office for two (2) consecutive years
and until the next annual meeting of the members and until a successor has been elected,
unless such Trustee shall sooner resign or be removed.
